O.C.I.A. “Becoming Catholic”
 
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (O.C.I.A.) is the process established by the Church for individuals to become Catholic and enter into full communion with the Church. O.C.I.A involves all three Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. The O.C.I.A. process is not a sacrament, but a spiritual journey of conversion centered on fostering a deep relationship with Jesus and Church He founded.
 
O.C.I.A. is for anyone who:
 
Has never been baptized
Has been baptized in another Christian tradition and desires to become Catholic
Has been baptized but not celebrated Confirmation or Eucharist
Any Catholic who desires to learn more about their faith or who wants to return “home” to their Catholic roots.  The O.C.I.A. process respects each person’s journey and allows time for discernment, prayer and study.
